MANAGUA: TROPICAL MODERNISM OF UNDERDEVELOPMENT















Edificios Venezuela, Sajonia and Neret in the Sajonia neighbourhood of Managua, built by architect Julio Cardenal Argüello, Venezuela and Sajonia properties of Manuel Ignacio Lacayo and Neret of Sr. Enrique Neret. All damaged after the 1972 earthquake and occupied after the Sandinista Revolution of 1979.

  1. Hi,i'm a nicaraguan who is working a tesis about those buildings, a few months ago they were demolished, and I couldn't take pictures of them, so i wonder if i could use yours for my tesis, is a multimedia report about the buildings, hope you can help me... Rezaye Alvarez, journalism student

  2. HOLA,VIVÍ EN EL NERET ALGUNOS AÑOS. TENIA UN ELEVADOR "ROUX-COMBALUZIER",LA MISMA MARCA DEL QUE TIENE LA TORRE EIFFEL Y CASUALMENTE TAMBIÉN EL EDIFICIO EN EL QUE VIVO ACTUALMENTE.
